Welcome to The Wiki

RTM Room Assistants Resource Hub

Welcome to The Wiki, our centralized resource hub for RTM Room Assistants.

This space is designed to help our team stay organized, communicate effectively, and provide consistent support throughout the training experience.

Janice Caudill and Dan Drake have envisioned a training model in which the Assistants Team helps hold the container for trainees. Our role is to support the lead trainers, facilitate breakout-room experiences, encourage participation, and help create an environment where trainees can learn, practice, and process.

Our shared goals

  • Help trainees feel welcomed and supported.

  • Encourage engagement and communication.

  • Help breakout rooms begin promptly and stay on task.

  • Notice if patterns of confusion and communicate them to Dan & Janice.

  • Model professional regulation, thoughtful feedback, and appropriate boundaries.

  • Help Janice and Dan focus on leading the training by providing coordinated support.

How to use The Wiki

Use this resource to find training materials, breakout-room instructions, homework guidance, quick links, and answers to common questions.

If clarification is still needed, bring the question to Steph.

*Please remember that The Wiki is a working resource. Any procedures that require approval from Janice or Dan will be identified as pending confirmation until they are finalized.

Checklist:

1. Support Dan & Janice
Help trainees get started promptly during breakout-room activities.
Assist with questions in the zoom chat.
*Notice recurring questions or areas of confusion and communicate them.
-Help identify whether confusion appears to be shared by several trainees or is specific to one individual.

2. Welcome and Engage Trainees
Assistants are encouraged to be active and welcoming! Our goal is to encourage communication, help trainees feel comfortable participating, and be a container for the trainees.

3. Support Chat Communication
Chat support should be coordinated so that questions do not go unanswered while Janice & Dan are presenting.
*Janice suggests to designate 1 / 2 assistants to monitor and respond to chat questions at a given time.

4. Model Regulation
Assistants are encouraged to bring their own grounding and regulation tools to training. Role-play exercises can potentially bring up anxiety, discomfort, and personal memories to our trainees.
*Assistants should be prepared to regulate themselves and model a calm, grounded presence.

5. Maintain Appropriate Boundaries
Assistants are there to facilitate learning. When questions require clinical judgment, supervision, or clarification from Janice or Dan, please reach out to them via waht's app chat or email them directly.

6. Join What's app
Please use the link directly from our Link Tree website: RTM Room Assistants | Linktree
*This is where we will speak DURING the active training.

7. Communicate Emerging Themes
Please share observations about:

*Topics trainees repeatedly find confusing
*Exercises that seem to need additional explanation
*Trainees who may need additional support
*Patterns that could be useful to address in supervision or future training.

8. Be Prepared Before training
*Please join or watch the assistants meeting video
*Ensure you can access the shared link. Its the folder that contains the HW, Breakout room instructions, mock disclosure doc, vetting questions guide, ect. This will be the same thing that the trainees will receive from admin (Ally).
*Ensure you can access The Wiki
RTM Room Assistants | Linktree
Then click the tab that says website/wiki
